At The Tools Vault, we work hard to keep our rentals affordable, transparent, and hassle-free. To help all customers, we apply the following fees when tools are returned late, dirty, damaged, or not returned.
π§ Standard Fees
- Cleaning Fee β $25 if a tool is returned in excessively dirty condition (concrete, paint, heavy debris, etc.).
- Cosmetic Damage Fee β $50 for excessive blemishes, scratches, or minor functional damage.
- Broken Tool Fee β $100 or the cost of repair (whichever is greater) if a tool is returned broken or non-functional.
- Lost or Stolen Tool Fee β 100% of the toolβs replacement cost, charged to the card on file.
β±οΈ Rental & Return Policies
- Security Deposit β $100 authorization per rental, released after tools are returned in good condition (bank processing may take 3β7 business days).
- Late Returns β Additional rental charges apply per time block. No partial or pro-rated refunds.
- Unauthorized Rentals β Only tools reserved in your order may be removed. Unauthorized removal results in immediate charges and loss of rental privileges.
π Premises Access
- Access codes are for individual use only. Sharing access is prohibited.
- Facility is under 24/7 surveillance for safety and theft prevention.
- Customers entering outside staffed hours do so at their own risk.
